Bespoke equipment manufacturer EXF has recently completed a full kit out of the newly opened training facility and retail space, WIT One New Change. Working in partnership with Sam Norman, Director of WIT Training, the EXF team has kitted out the facility with brand new flooring throughout, a bespoke storage solution to maximise space and an Eleiko Functional Training rig.

Based in the heart of the city of London at the One New Change shopping and office complex by St. Paul’s Cathedral, WIT is a unique premium training facility with a diverse class offering including Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and metcon. WIT ONC combines a unique retail space, with a multiband training shop upstairs offering training apparel, footwear and accessories. Brands include Nike, Reebok, Adidas and Stance.

Due to the facilities unique location and offering, it was vital for Sam to work with a supplier that could provide him with a flooring solution to reduce noise and vibration. EXF were able to offer the perfect bespoke solution by supplying and installing 225sqm black tile flooring from its new strength performance range. Able to withstand the toughest environments the EXF strength performance range, has been specifically designed for areas that require exceptional flooring protection, such as heavy weight lifting or Olympic performance zones. The EXF team were also able to supply a large CNC cut logo into the flooring to create a seamless brand identity, which can be seen throughout the space.

To maximise space on the training floor, EXF were commissioned to provide WIT with a bespoke storage solution for all functional training equipment. The EXF team designed a large storage section, which sits on a slightly raised ledge down one side of the space, rather than sitting on the floor itself.

Keeping the facility as open as possible was a key factor for Sam, as it has three prominent areas focused around a bespoke Eleiko floor to ceiling functional training rig which was installed by the EXF team.

EXF completed the installation in just three days, working overnight to meet the tight deadlines and ensuring the club opened on time.

“Building a functional gym in a central London shopping centre is no easy task,” says Sam Norman, Director of WIT Training. “Throughout this project, we’ve been thoroughly impressed by the work EXF has produced and the end result did not disappoint. The knowledge and expertise the team have has been amazing as we were able to rely on them to provide us with some last minute customised storage. If it wasn’t for their market knowledge, then we simply wouldn’t have the facility that we do. We look forward to working with EXF in the future as we continue to develop the WIT brand.”

“We were delighted to work with Sam and the WIT team on this project,” says Ben Steadman Business Development Director for EXF. “It was great to be able to bring Sam’s vision to life and offer him a bespoke solution that is built to last and able to withstand the rigours of a tough training environment. We look forward to working with WIT in the future as they develop the brand.”

Within the first month of opening, WIT has become a hub for London based and international training consumers and hosted global launches for both Nike and Reebok.
